Notes
Although the evidence isn't consistent across studies, or tests within studies, Bacopa appears to enhance various sorts of memory (notably working memory) in both healthy persons and through cognitive decline. It's unclear what effects it's within the long-term, as most studies are either 12 weeks long or affect acute dosing, the previous being more reliable. More high-quality evidence and replication of specific tests is required before we will be confident in its effects.
Memory formation in elderly subjects are often improved with daily supplementation of blueberries or their extract.
Appears to market cognition in otherwise healthy older adults. Although animal studies suggest this might apply to youthful subjects also, no human currently exists for youth.
In persons with SSRIs, adding SAMe confers a cognitive promoting effect; it's unsure if this persists in persons without SSRIs, and this augmenting effect with SSRIs is merely seen in limited other instances (ie. with creatine).
